PCS Music Home Page

Welcome! I have just started to create content for this site, so please send me an email if you have suggestions for things you (parents and students) would like to see here. The menu in the upper right will link you to other pages. I will be adding much more to come! Parents should keep in mind that I consider music education as a triangle between you, your student(s), and me/PCS. It is important that you stay aware of what is being learned and that students come to class every day with a positive attitude and growth mindset. Especially for upper level performing groups, materials need to be learned quickly so that we can spend much of our rehearsal time devoted to making band and chorus as musical as possible. This takes the best effort from every indiviudal.

NEW!! HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BAND INSTRUMENT!

Memorial Day information for band - Thank you for those 7 and 8 band students who came to the Memorial Day ceremony. We managed to play both pieces with only 10 players! Big thanks to Ethan Butler, Brett Drumm and David Hackett (Paxton students at WRHS) for coming to help us with the ceremony and sitting in to play our pieces at the last second. Also big thanks to Mackenzie Carl (WRHS) who sang and played Amazing Grace beautifully. I’m sure that veterans and the community appreciated your performances.

Grade 7 and 8: Same as the grade 5/6 above for the day concert. For the night concert, as close to this as possible:

BOYS:  Black pants, white dress shirt, tie (optional), dark dress socks, dark dress shoes.

GIRLS:  Black pants/skirt, white/light blouse or dress, dark tights/socks, dark shoes.

NOTE:  JEANS, T-SHIRTS, AND SNEAKERS SHOULD BE AVOIDED IF POSSIBLE.
